The choice of KERLIX bandage
KERLIX is ​​a woven gauze manufactured for a variety of different wound care applications.
The most common are sterile gauze rolls used for primary and secondary dressing.
The gauze cloth is pre-washed and dried.
This is 100 percent cotton woven in the pattern of its unique wrinkle weaving for softness and liquid readiness.
KERLIX gauze provides fast evaporating action, excellent ventilation and maximum absorption.
Its edges are tight, with a delicate finish, so the product does not produce loose edges and leaves no residue.

The KERLIX comes in a wrapped and closed and sterile roll.
For primary wound applications, or in situations where the gauze is placed directly on the wound,
each roll is wrapped in several layers of cotton that make up the gauze.
The thicker layer is better than wounds with higher drainage – the thicker the layer, the more it will absorb wounds.

Preparation of the wound and application of KERLIX gauze
KERLIX gauze preparation is not much different from most other woven gases,
except that it has a unique lint as an absorbent advantage.
Start with the wound itself, clean the area with a 0.9 percent saline solution.
Avoid cleansers or antiseptic rinses as reuse may irritate the skin.
Then, dry the wound area properly. When the wound area is dry, the multilayer bandage should be placed over the wound area, unless a secondary dressing is used.
If it is used as a secondary dressing, the initial bandage is applied first,
and the KERLIX is ​​placed last, the dressing is secured to the skin, using a secondary dressing with glue,
or a surgical tape glued to the edges.
